A great weekend spent in the company of like minded individuals. The weekend was really enjoyable with lots of thought provoking conversations. It was also really enjoyable that everyone was happy to listen to others point of views, and discuss rather than lecture on issues. It was also a great opportunity to network with people who I would normally not meet in my day to day life. Katie Brooks WA

Even if you perceive yourself to be somewhere on the spectrum well away from classical liberalism, the weekend is well worth it. It’s not brain washing, it’s an opportunity to ask the question of people who dedicate their lives to classical liberal ideals. The informal nature of the weekend is its biggest strength, allowing you to delve into topics close to your own heart with a bunch of switched-on people. If you go with an open mind, you can’t be disappointed! Ollie Wright NZ

It is what university promises but never delivers. Intelligent and enthusiastic lecturers and students all of whom have an open mind. It is such a relief from the closed minded nature of university study. Ben Jellis VIC

'I believe the Liberty and Society student seminars are a valuable addition to any MBA student's program. The eclectic and cross-disciplinary approach employed in the seminars is unique and useful in an age where degrees are increasingly vocational-specific.
The Seminars allow students to explore the tenets of a free and open society, and teaches them how business and public policy might encourage (or discourage) such foundations.
Dr Peter Dodd L&S Lecturer
Former Dean and Director, Australian Graduate School of Management

'If asked to describe the weekend to a friend, I would stress the friendly environment, the diversity of views, the political-correctness-free environment and the opportunity to learn about a free society from leaders in the field.'
Heidi Zwar

'L&S has had a long term impact on me . . . I have been teaching in the economics dept. over the past two years while finishing my law degree. The more we question and discuss issues such as industry policy or labour markets-the more I and my students see the logic and valuable analysis provided by liberal thinkers.'
Michael Rush
