PROF DEIRDRE MCCLOSKEY - Cautiously Optimistic: Bourgeois dignity & Global Prosperity


This year’s John Bonython Lecture and CIS gala dinner will be held in the grand ballroom of The Westin Hotel in Sydney’s CBD. The address will be given by Professor Deirdre McCloskey, an award-winning author and Distinguished Professor of Economics at the University of Illinois, Chicago. Professor McCloskey will discuss her ongoing research on how a liberty and dignity for ordinary people in the 18th and 19th centuries was responsible rise and wealth of the West and the emerging economies of today.
