 The CIS Lectures

When critical issues come to the fore in public debate or leading world thinkers visit Australia, CIS is proud to host an event to present the views on prominent issues, relating to Australia and globally.

Past CIS guest speakers have included Dr Václav Klaus (President of the Czech Chamber of Deputies), Owen Harries (founding Editor-in-Chief of The National Interest) American social policy author Dr Charles Murray, Gary Sturgess and Dr Sam Gregg (Australia, now at The Acton Institute, USA).

The CIS Lectures and previously, the CIS Occasional Seminars, are an essential link that the Centre provides between the interested public and the forefront of thinking on policy and social issues.
