Society and the Nuclear Question - Professor Wade Allison
The future of mankind depends on clear thought, critical thinking, and education. In particular, it would benefit from a re-examination of attitudes to radiation and nuclear technology which date from the 20th century. Viewed in the light of 21st century science these technologies may be seen as welcome, even essential, parts of any survival plan for civilisation. Professor Wade Allison, Emeritus Fellow at Keble College in Oxford and author of Radiation and Reason, will share his thoughts on nuclear policy and discuss with the audience the merits of moving to an age of nuclear power.
