An Evening with Brendan O’Neill – SYDNEY

Join us in Sydney on Tuesday, April 23 as we welcome back Brendan O’Neill to Sydney for an exciting live event. CIS Executive Director, Tom Switzer will moderate this event.

In an era fraught with political correctness and cancel culture, O’Neill has become a leading voice in the battle for free speech — from the assault on free expression to the erosion of civil liberties, he confronts the forces that seek to regulate thought. Brendan and Tom will examine the ‘decline of the West,’ questioning whether we have had it too good for too long? They will also discuss Western Civilisation’s challenges, including our pervasive cancel culture, which seeks to divide our multicultural society into groups and classes.

Tom Switzer is the Executive Director at the Centre for Independent Studies, and formerly hosted Between the Lines on the ABC’s Radio National. He is also a regular contributor to The Australian, the Australian Financial Review and Sky News Australia.

Brendan O’Neill is a British media pundit and author. He was the editor of Spiked! from 2007 to September 2021, and is its “chief political writer”. He has been a columnist for The AustralianThe Big Issue, and The Spectator.
